Owners' association cleaning: stairwell, entrance and lift on a fixed schedule
As a board member or property manager, you want the communal areas to look well kept, without having to chase it up every month. We clean stairwells, entrances, lifts, storage rooms and walkways on a fixed schedule. With regular cleaners, clear agreements and an invoice that goes straight to the owners' association (VvE).

What's different in an apartment building
In an apartment building you're not cleaning for one customer, but for all the residents at once. People come and go, the property manager wants to know what's been done and the owners' association wants a schedule that fits the budget. We take all of that into account. Our cleaners keep the way clear, warn people about a wet floor and are happy to have a chat when someone asks them something.
Together with the board or the property manager, we agree which areas we do and how often: every week, every other week or every month. If we notice something that isn't right, such as a broken light in the stairwell or a leak in the storage area, we let the property manager know. You have direct contact with the people who do the work. After the first round, we go over the building together, so the agreements match what you expect.
Which areas we cover
You choose which areas go into the schedule and how often we do them.
-
Stairwells
Stairs and landings vacuumed and mopped, handrails and balusters wiped down and the cobwebs cleared from the corners.
-
Entrance and hall
The front door and glass panels streak-free, letterboxes and doorbell panel wiped down and the floor under the doormat cleaned.
-
Lifts
Walls, mirror and control panel wiped down, the floor mopped and the grit vacuumed out of the door tracks.
-
Storage rooms and corridors
The corridors to the storage rooms and the bike storage swept and mopped, doors and light switches wiped down.
-
Walkways and outside stairs
Swept and, where possible, wet cleaned. We remove stubborn dirt or green algae with a pressure washer.
-
A bigger clean in between
A few times a year, extra attention for radiators, skirting boards and the windows in the stairwell. We schedule that in advance.
Agreements the board can rely on
-
Familiar faces in the building
Residents see the same cleaners every time. That's reassuring, and after a few visits the cleaners know exactly what needs extra attention.
-
Invoice to the owners' association
You pay by invoice, with a payment term of 14 days. The invoice goes to the owners' association or to the property manager, whichever you prefer.
-
Always on schedule
We come on the agreed day. Because we work 7 days a week, that can also be at the weekend if that suits you better.
-
Insured
We have liability insurance for damage during our work. Reassuring when you're responsible for shared property.
"When the tenants had moved out of the home we own, Skoonz took it on to get it ready for sale. And it really needed it! Such lovely, friendly people. They reply straight away, even at the weekend. The result was stunning."

Questions about owners' association cleaning
How often should a stairwell be cleaned?
That depends on the number of homes and how busy it is. For many buildings, once a week or every other week works well, with a bigger clean a few times a year. In the free cleaning check you choose the frequency, and we're happy to help you decide.
Can the invoice go to the owners' association or the property manager?
Yes. You pay by invoice, with a payment term of 14 days. We put the owners' association's details on it, or send the invoice to the property manager if they handle the payments.
How do you deal with residents?
In a friendly, calm way. Our cleaners know they're working where people live. If a resident has a comment or a request, we'd like to hear it, through the board, the property manager or directly.
Can we try it once first?
Of course. Start with a one-off clean of the communal areas, so you can see how we work and what the result is. After that, we agree a fixed schedule together.
